Natural Resources Defense Council signs contract with Medialink for online content platform

NRDC to Use Mediaseed™ for Communications on Green Issues and Actions

NEW YORK, February 26, 2008 – One of the nation’s most influential and effective conservation organizations, the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), has signed a contract with Medialink Worldwide Incorporated (Nasdaq: MDLK) to build and manage its digital newsroom via Mediaseed™, Medialink’s Web-based content management platform, it was announced today.

Mediaseed offers a suite of video and audio collaboration, archiving, distribution, publishing, and evaluation features for marketers and public relations communicators. By establishing its customized portal on Mediaseed (http://nrdc.mediaseed.tv), NRDC can more easily provide and manage its content with Medialink as a central source for video and rich media production and distribution services, as well the storage, sharing and tracking of assets employed in broadcast and Web campaigns that reach the media and other audiences.

Medialink provides custom digital newsrooms powered by Mediaseed that enable clients to post video and other rich media, select media distribution options, and expedite delivery of content worldwide to professional journalists and publishers. Clients also can access reports of video usage on television via Medialink’s exclusive global television tracking service, Teletrax™, and view its publication on various Internet sites. Monthly fees for Mediaseed are determined based on the amount of rich media that clients need to manage and by the distribution and tracking features they select.

NRDC joins a prestigious roster of companies and organizations, among them the American Lung Association and Bridgestone Corporation, which already have contracted with Medialink for Mediaseed asset management and digital newsroom services.

“Broadcast journalists don’t always have the time or resources to acquire high quality video to illustrate breaking conservation stories,” said Craig Noble, NRDC’s communications director for Northern California. “By filling this void NRDC hopes to help increase the quality and quantity of environmental journalism. Medialink’s robust Mediaseed digital asset management and delivery platform is an exciting new tool for us to increase our communications effectiveness.”

“Medialink is proud to partner with NRDC to develop and manage its Mediaseed newsroom in an effort to raise its voice and visibility as a highly respected steward of our environment,” said Larry Thomas, chief operating officer of Medialink. “Medialink’s communications tools are designed for marketing and public relations decision-makers who demand world-class client service and robust media management technology to create dynamic messages that resonate with specialized or broad audiences. With Mediaseed as their digital platform, Medialink’s clients can effortlessly organize and track content for TV, radio and Web strategies that share the unique stories about their issues, brands and services.”

Medialink produces and distributes branded and fully sourced video and audio domestically and internationally to thousands of Internet sites and television and radio networks and stations on behalf of its 750 clients worldwide. Medialink’s Internet offerings range from viral video and rich media advertisements to webcasts and serialized video clips, or “webisodes.”

Along with its digital newsroom development capabilities, the Mediaseed suite of offerings from Medialink also includes its Web news portal, Mediaseed.tv (www.mediaseed.tv), which aggregates constantly updated video, audio, still images and text from public communicators for free and unrestricted use as previews or downloaded content by thousands of professional broadcast and broadband journalists.

In addition, Medialink’s broadband distribution network disseminates client content by posting it on such popular video sharing sites as YouTube, MySpace, Yahoo!, Google, AOL Video, Metacafe, Crackle, Veoh, and Vmix, and with syndicators and aggregators, such as Blinkx, Brightcove, Mochila, ROO, Voxant, and Clip Syndicate.
